don't fall for this trap!
I’m sick and tired of all these long winded non-relevant storytelling LinkedIn posts.

You know what I mean..

Influencers, marketers or coaches try to relate a non-relatable story to their business.
Peeing in public —- deal with short-term discomfort —- try something new today —- that might be his SEO service.
This was popular a few years ago and many content leaders or coaches gained massive views and comments, helping them boost their LinkedIn profile visibility.
Even one of my Writeto1k students Beth Chernes commented about this:

I agree with Beth – we want authentic stories that aren’t long-winded and having to relate to a business, service, course, app, tool, or coaching call.
So, instead of modeling what these marketers are doing with storytelling try these methods instead when you post on LinkedIn:
Share your wins – wrote a client post faster than normal? Landed a new client? Sent out 10 pitches that day? Whatever it is, share it!
Share challenges – it’s okay to be vulnerable and share any problems or challenges you are facing. Most times you will get many comments of people rallying with you.
Share news – what’s hot in your industry? Share it with key takeaways and how you can apply it to your business
Share lessons learned – people love to learn what you’ve learned about your business in the last year or quarter or just recently.
